Forklift Operator

Foremost Fabricators, a division of Patrick Industries, is seeking Forklift Operators to join our team. Foremost is seeking highly motivated individuals who are capable of focusing on quality in a changing environment, while always putting the Customer 1st. Foremost Fabricators is a fabricator of aluminum sheet metal and galvanized steel, FRP coil and sheet for the RV manufacturing industry. NOT A SHIPPING DEPARTMENT JOB POSITION. Job Duties: Championing Foremost Fabricators’ safety policies through example, wearing all required protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment— Steel toe shoes are required on production floor and shipping yard. Using a forklift to load and unload trucks, finished goods, empty skids, sorting empty skids, and move skids of damage material. Ensuring shipping yard is clean. Ensuring all production lines have their metal coils on-time. Using a forklift in order to move scrap hoppers, skids of damaged material, and bales of compacted metal safely. Communicating effectively with a partner and production leadership team. Able to maneuver metal coils. Job Requirements: Recent forklift operator experience of 2 or more years. Ability to remain in a sitting position for approximately 50% of the shift or less depending on workload. Must have 1 or more recent years of experience. Good sense of balance and good eye/hand/foot coordination. Ability to mount/dismount the forklift as necessary Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather as some forklifts (covered) will move inside/outside the facilities. Bending, twisting, kneeling as needed, lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed and push/pull up to 75lbs. Strong attention to detail and high degree of attention to surroundings. Must be goal oriented as they will be responsible for meeting deadlines. Schedule: Monday to Friday 04:00am-02:30pm. 10 hour shift. Morning shift. Overtime available. Weekends as needed. Pay: Negotiable - based on experience. There are opportunities for cross-training and promotion/additional responsibilities on assigned machines or on other machines in plants and potential compensation for adding more value to the Team at Foremost.
