Forklift Operator

Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment will ensure that shipments are loaded, unloaded, and stored accurately and on time. Responsibilities Operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to fulfill shipment requests accurately Manage inventory levels by organizing stock locations and conducting regular stock counts using warehouse management systems (WMS) Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for any issues with forklifts or other material handling equipment Follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety standards in production and warehouse operations to ensure a safe working environment Support warehouse management in optimizing warehouse distribution processes and maintaining high safety standards during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Qualifications Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy machinery in a warehouse setting Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management practices Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols including OSHA regulations and forklift safety standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments or inventory levels Excellent attention to detail for order picking, load & unload operations, and barcode scanning accuracy Warehouse experience with materials handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks and lift trucks is highly preferred Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors effectively This role is paid — offering a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant environment dedicated to safety excellence.
