Forklift Operator

Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Location: Pickering, ON Key Responsibilities ‑ Safely operate counter‑balance and reach forklifts to perform container unloading, product put‑away, order picking and pallet transfer. ‑ Complete pallet shrink‑wrapping, transport goods to designated storage locations, and keep aisles and loading docks clean and unobstructed. ‑ Complete pre‑shift forklift safety inspections and keep records; report any mechanical malfunctions to supervisor immediately. ‑ Follow instructions from the on‑site supervisor and perform general warehouse labour and area housekeeping tasks as assigned. ‑ Strictly comply with warehouse safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow all safety procedures. Qualifications ‑ Valid Ontario Powered Lift‑Truck Operator Forklift Ticket (counter‑balance and reach truck). ‑ Minimum 1‑year hands‑on forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment; container unloading experience is an asset. ‑ Able to operate PDA scanners and familiar with basic warehouse receiving and outbound workflows. ‑ Strong safety awareness and good knowledge of warehouse operational safety standards. ‑ Physically fit, able to work in a fast‑paced warehouse setting, reliable and conscientious.
