Forklift Operator - 1st shift

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our manufacturing and shipping/receiving departments. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations, supporting our commitment to timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments with precision. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and coordinate repairs when necessary. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Collaborate with supervisors on inventory management, order picking accuracy, and workflow optimization. Conduct routine safety inspections Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Certified forklift operator. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively. Strong materials handling skills using pallet jacks and other mechanical tools. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced setting.
