Forklift Operator (1st or 2nd shift)

Global oilfield services company is seeking to immediately hire a Forklift Operator (1st or 2nd shift). This position (also called Storekeeper) is responsible for the maintenance of a store or warehouse which includes but is not limited to, stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, purchasing, and related duties as required. The Storekeeper is responsible to execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. They inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state. Job Location: Bartlesville, OK Pay Rate: $18.00 or $20.00 hour (depending on shift) Schedule (choice of shift): First Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Pay rate is $18 per hour. Second Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Pay rate is $20 per hour. Position type: Contract-to-hire. Conversion to permanent employee is possible after 3-4 month initial period, depending on worker performance. Responsibilities: Plans and performs work that involves ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labeling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, office supplies, and various types of equipment Rotates stock and arranges for disposal of surpluses Keeps records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock level Coordinates freight handling, equipment moving and minor repairs. Operates simple office machines (which may in some cases include computer assisted inventory, automotive equipment, and may operate a forklift or other light equipment used in moving heavy items) Perform inspecting, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal and cycle counting of inventory items. Accept supplier deliveries, checking that actual item received are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order and report discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure outgoing inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation. Improve efficiency and safety by optimizing warehouse bin locations. Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas. Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts. Perform tasks associated with Kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor. Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor. Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: 1-5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, and recordkeeping Proficiency in inventory management tasks such as inspecting, labeling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal, and cycle counting. Proficiency in investigating and resolving inventory and warehouse issues. Forklift, Crane, or Saw Operator experience is strongly preferred Must be physically able to lift heavy items (may be up to 50 lbs.) above and below shoulder height, and perform continuous standing, walking, reaching, and bending Must be able to stand for long periods to perform the work Must have an active driver's license in good standing This company has a very comprehensive drug testing requirement.
