Forklift Mechanic / Forklift Technician POSITION AVAILABLE IN THE TAMPA AREA. Mid Florida Material Handling, is hiring an experienced mobile forklift mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on both new and used forklifts in the Tampa area. MUST HAVE FORKLIFT MECHANIC /SERVICE TECH EXPERIENCE SALARY: DOE Job Duties Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on new and used forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, swing reaches, side loaders and sweepers, ensuring they operate safety and efficiently. Diagnose Issues: Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in forklifts and determine the best course of action for repairs. Service Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their equipment. Field Service: Travel to various locations within the Tampa area to perform on-site repairs and maintenance. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Parts Management: Order and manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance. This highly competitive position includes a service van for your use. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience; 5 years of material handling experience preferred. Tools: Must have own hand tools Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in forklifts. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member. Travel: Willingness to travel within the Tampa area for on-site repairs and maintenance. Safety Awareness: Commitment to following all safety regulations and company policies.
