Your hands-on skills and troubleshooting prowess will keep our fleet safe, efficient, and ready for action every day. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts, cranes, excavators, tractors, and other heavy equipment. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems on diverse machinery including HVAC systems, hydraulic components, transmissions, and air brake systems. Carry out routine maintenance such as tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, alignment checks, welding repairs, and hydraulic system servicing to prevent downtime. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to assemble parts or repair damaged components efficiently. Diagnose complex mechanical issues involving diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and heavy equipment operation to restore optimal functionality. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform equipment troubleshooting to identify root causes of operational problems quickly. Requirements Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including forklifts, cranes, excavators, tractors, and farm machinery. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, forklift diagnostics, schematics reading, and equipment troubleshooting. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software. Ability to perform diesel engine diagnostics and repair; familiarity with transmissions and air brake systems is highly desirable. Experience working with OEM parts and performing construction equipment servicing in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients. Physical ability to lift heavy components safely and perform manual labor involving heavy lifting; willingness to work in various weather conditions is essential.
