Forklift Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellence in material handling solutions. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts, including electrical diagnostics and mechanical repairs Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems Conduct welding, fabrication, and assembly work on various equipment components as needed Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently Test drive equipment post-repair to verify proper operation and safety compliance Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all repairs performed Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure safety and precision Skills Proven experience with heavy equipment mechanics, including forklifts, construction machinery, and farm machinery Strong electrical diagnostics skills for automotive and industrial systems Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for Caterpillar, Diesel engines, Tractors, Excavators, Cranes, HVAC systems, and other construction machinery Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmission systems, tire service, alignment procedures, HVAC systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, electrical systems, brake repair, and heavy equipment operation Excellent troubleshooting abilities combined with mechanical knowledge to resolve complex equipment issues quickly Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions Join us as a Forklift Mechanic to keep our fleet operating at peak performance!
