Forklift Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated spanish speaking Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts, construction machinery, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts, heavy equipment, and construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Repair and replace components such as transmissions, diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, and hydraulic systems. Conduct welding, fabrication, tire service, and alignment tasks to restore equipment functionality. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery accurately. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all repairs performed. Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex issues involving excavators, cranes, OEM parts, and other industrial equipment. Skills Proven experience with heavy equipment mechanics including forklifts, excavators, cranes, and construction machinery maintenance. Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques. Familiarity with electrical systems diagnostics and automotive diagnostics tools. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in welding (including soldering), fabrication, and equipment assembly. Experience with HVAC systems related to industrial equipment is a plus. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support operational needs.
