Forklift Logistics Specialist — Food Manufacturing Location: Niles, IL Compensation: $22.00/hr (paid weekly) Schedule: Full-Time, 3rd Shift Picture your night: the production lines hum, pallets are queued, and you’re the go-to pro who keeps everything moving. At Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc., we’re hiring experienced forklift professionals to support a high-volume food manufacturing operation in Niles, IL. If you’re dependable, safety-first, and energized by a steady pace, this role puts you at the heart of the action. What your shift looks like You’ll start with a quick equipment check, confirm priorities, then dive into the flow of the warehouse—supplying production, staging outbound loads, and keeping inventory accurate. Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently throughout warehouse and production areas Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and pallets Pick and prepare shipments with a focus on precision and on-time departures Use RF scanners and warehouse systems for receiving, put-away, inventory transactions, and cycle counts Validate inventory and maintain accurate records Replenish materials to the lines and relocate pallets as production needs shift Inspect forklifts daily and complete basic equipment checks Verify inbound and outbound shipments and report product damage promptly Keep work areas clean and organized, following food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards Pitch in with other warehouse tasks as assigned What you bring High school diploma or GED Previous forklift experience (required) Warehouse or food manufacturing experience (preferred) Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel and Word) Strong organization, analytical thinking, and ability to multitask Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Comfort with bending, twisting, reaching, and other physical warehouse duties Willingness to work weekends and mandatory overtime when needed Reliable, safety-focused mindset; able to work independently or as part of a team Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance How to apply Apply in person Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Please bring two forms of identification) Nexus Employment 7900 N Milwaukee Ave, Unit 12 Niles, IL 60714 Inside the Oak Mill Plaza Mall Job Type: Full-time Employer: Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc.
