Must have open availability. Must be able to start ASAP. FORKLIFT OPERATORS JOB DESCRIPTION. [ Position starts at $19.00 ] DOE Position requires preparation of merchandise for customer deliveries, customer pick-ups and Daniels Home Center store locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties might be assigned). · Work independently with minimum supervision under fast-paced environment. Front desk / warehouse clerk skills a PLUS · Pass forklift certification class. · Responsible for efficient and safe operation of powered lift equipment. · Perform visual forklift inspection daily. · Perform writing inspection weekly. · Efficiently Pull and prepare merchandise for shipment in a 10 minutes average per order. Maintain Daniels Home Center work areas clean and organized. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Comply with OSHA standards and company safety procedures using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) always while performing job duties. Load and unload merchandise safely. Assist in all warehouse duties as needed. Must be able to lift, count, select, sort, ticket, pack and/or handle an assortment of merchandise. Qualifications: · Good communication skills in primary language · Bilingual ( Spanish / English) prefer Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department. Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Opening bales, crates, and other containers. Assisting in counting of physical inventory. Sweeping, dusting, and mopping. Shipping receiving experience Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
