J&E Warehousing ServicesJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory within our warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory control will ensure smooth distribution operations. All work performed will adhere strictly to OSHA and OSHA-compliant safety standards, emphasizing safe handling practices and equipment operation. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners to load and unload shipments efficiently. Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using order pickers and ensuring proper storage using warehouse management systems. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for any malfunctioning machinery to maintain optimal safety standards. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries with precision. Maintain organized warehouse layout by stacking pallets correctly and ensuring materials are stored securely according to safety protocols. Support warehouse distribution activities through manual handling of materials, heavy lifting, and proper use of material handling equipment. Follow all safety standards in production environments, including OSHA guidelines, forklift safety protocols, and manual handling procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Utilize barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking and inventory management to ensure accurate data entry and stock control. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and uphold high standards of warehouse operations. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo), order pickers, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with barcode scanning for logistics tracking. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manually handle materials as required. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards specific to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
