• Load and unload pallets at the receiving bay, ensuring accurate handling of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Transport pallets and materials to appropriate storage or production locations within the facility.
• Follow established material handling procedures to prevent damage to products and equipment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all site safety protocols while operating the forklift.
• Support warehouse inventory flow by moving materials as directed by supervisors or inventory staff.
• Prepare for and successfully complete the onsite forklift test as part of the hiring process.
• Use required static discharge footwear to comply with facility safety and battery plant standards.
• Arrive on time and work full 12-hour continental shifts on a bi-weekly day and night rotation.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movements and priorities.
Essential Skills
• Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Valid external or third-party forklift license.
• Experience with warehouse inventory and material handling processes.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts on a rotating schedule (6am6pm and 6pm6am bi-weekly).
• Ability to pass a practical forklift test prior to receiving an offer.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use required static discharge shoes (yellow tag) in the battery plant.
• Physical ability to perform material handling tasks, including standing for extended periods and moving pallets.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
