Forklift Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth distribution operations. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments with precision. Manage inventory movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track materials accurately. Perform order picking using various equipment such as order pickers and <PERSON> pickers to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or notify maintenance for repairs needed. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for storage or dispatch while adhering to safety standards set by OSHA. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and improve overall warehouse operations. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Excellent understanding of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting and proper load securing methods. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.
