Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Location: 1551 Broadway St, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6N9 About the Role We are a wholesale distributor of stone slabs, supplying high-quality products to fabricators and industry partners. We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to support our daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe handling of materials, accurate order fulfillment, efficient shipping and receiving, and the overall organization of our warehouse. Key Responsibilities Operate a propane-powered counterbalance forklift to unload quartz slab containers, move materials within the warehouse, and load slabs onto customer and delivery trucks. Ensure the safe handling, storage, and movement of stone slabs and other materials. Prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery, ensuring the accuracy of slab selections, quantities, colours, and labels. Receive, count, organize, and maintain inventory of slabs, samples, and related materials. Prepare products and samples for shipping and delivery, including checking and attaching labels, packing sample boxes, and staging orders for pickup. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Operate a Ford F-550 flatbed truck to deliver materials to customers when required. Assist Sales Representatives with loading, unloading, and replacing showroom or display samples as needed. Ensure customers and visitors comply with company safety policies while in the warehouse. Perform other warehouse duties as required to support daily operations. Qualifications and Requirements Valid forklift operator certification or licence. Valid Class 5 driver's licence in British Columbia. Experience operating a propane-powered counterbalance forklift is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or material handling is an asset. Ability to safely handle heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling inventory and fulfilling customer orders. Reliable, punctual, organized, and committed to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
