HyphnEssential Functions & Responsibilities 1) Jobsite Leadership & Crew Management Lead and supervise installation crews on assigned projects including: Company installers Temporary labor personnel from partner labor companies Responsibilities include: Assigning tasks and directing daily work activities Ensuring crews understand project scope and installation sequence Maintaining productivity and installation efficiency Monitoring crew performance and professionalism on site Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to installers and working leads. 2) Project Execution & Installation Oversight Oversee installation of contract furniture systems including but not limited to: Panel systems and workstations Benching and desking systems Case goods and freestanding furniture Seating and accessories Storage systems and filing components Architectural walls or modular environments (when applicable) Responsibilities include: Reviewing installation drawings and specifications prior to work Ensuring installations follow manufacturer requirements (Steelcase and other manufacturers) Sequencing installation activities for efficient workflow Ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and functionality of all installed products Resolving field installation issues as they arise Daily communication about project status, schedule adherence, changes of scope, problems, and customer satisfaction utilizing daily logs and field software(s). 3) Coordination with Project Teams Serve as the primary field point of contact for installation-related matters. Coordinate with: Project Managers Scheduling Warehouse / Logistics General contractors Client representatives Communicate: Jobsite progress Issues or delays Product shortages or damage Labor requirements and schedule updates Provide updates to ensure projects stay on schedule. 4) Material & Inventory Management Verify materials delivered to the jobsite match project requirements/delivery tickets. Responsibilities include: Confirming product quantities and condition upon delivery Organizing materials for efficient installation Reporting missing, damaged, or incorrect product Coordinating with warehouse or project management for replacements Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and secured. 5) Quality Control & Project Closeout Maintain high standards of installation quality by: Reviewing layouts and installation plans prior to work Inspecting completed work areas Ensuring installations meet manufacturer specifications and company standards Managing punch list items and corrections Assisting with final walkthroughs and project completion Provide feedback to internal and labor partners on performance or quality issues 6) Safety & Jobsite Compliance Promote safety culture and enforce a safe working environment. Responsibilities include: Ensuring compliance with company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements Enforcing proper PPE use Maintaining clean and organized work areas Following client and general contractor safety rules Reporting incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions Support company safety initiatives and training programs. 7) Training & Development Support development of installation personnel by: Training junior installers and Level 1–3 installers Demonstrating proper installation techniques Promoting productivity, quality, and professionalism Helping develop future crew leaders and foremen 8) Additional Responsibilities Site verifications as requested by Installation Manager or Installation Supervisor On-site quality inspections of installation work and safety practices Sourcing hardware and materials needed for installations Equipment & tool repair and maintenance Checking in and out tools and equipment to installers Fleet training and ride-along assessments Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Advanced knowledge of contract furniture installation practices Strong understanding of Steelcase systems or similar contract furniture manufacturers Abilit…
