Automotive Parts Counterperson – Ford Dealership Location: Butler, NJ 07405 Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends as needed Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience Job Description We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson with Ford parts experience to join our dealership team in Butler, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Ford automotive parts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to accurately identify, source, and process parts orders in a fast-paced dealership environment. We are looking for a motivated team player who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accuracy, and supporting the overall success of our Parts Department. Key Responsibilities Assist retail, wholesale, and internal service department customers with automotive parts inquiries, purchases, and orders. Accurately identify and locate Ford OEM parts using electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems. Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and special orders efficiently and accurately. Work closely with service technicians and advisors to ensure timely parts availability. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control, stocking, and replenishment. Handle customer transactions using dealership point-of-sale systems. Communicate with customers regarding parts availability, pricing, and order status. Assist with wholesale parts sales and customer relationships. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter and work area. Follow dealership policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience Previous Ford automotive parts experience required. Prior automotive dealership parts counter experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Ford OEM parts, electronic parts catalogs, and parts ordering procedures. Familiarity with Ford parts systems and dealership management systems (DMS) preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory management software. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dealership environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with service technicians, advisors, and other department personnel. Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing quality service. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
