Food Warehouse Manager

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Food Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire food distribution process, ensuring efficient inventory management, streamlined logistics, and optimal team performance. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance process efficiencies, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution activities. Develop and implement process improvement strategies utilizing lean principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize spoilage, and support demand planning efforts. Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) for scheduling deliveries, coordinating freight movements, and ensuring timely shipments. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to streamline transportation planning and execution. Monitor profit & loss statements to manage budgets effectively while identifying opportunities for cost savings across operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain analytics and implementing best practices in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. Supervise warehouse staff, providing training in safety protocols, process management, and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies across all distribution activities. Coordinate with procurement teams for materials management and production planning to meet demand forecasts efficiently. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision within a food or perishable goods environment with strong team management skills. Deep understanding of supply chain management principles including inventory management, distribution operations, logistics management, and procurement processes. Expertise in transportation planning, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures, and distribution operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools. Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies. Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively while collaborating with cross-functional departments. Ability to manage budgets related to profit & loss statements while implementing cost control measures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, analysis, and documentation purposes. Experience supervising warehouse operations including inventory control, materials management, order fulfillment, and shipping schedules. Bilingual: Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English.
