This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and requires working in close contact with and interacting with inmates. The Food Service Worker/Delivery Driver prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting. This role will also require you to drive a company vehicle for an established route/territory. You will help with the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility. Check orders for quality and accuracy. Follow proper delivery procedures. Help with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance. Clean and sanitize these areas, which you include, but do not limit to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food-safe workstation. Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders promptly. Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on our vehicle to the manager. Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean and also maintain and keep the vehicle clean. Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping. Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures. Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving. Other responsibilities as determined by our needs. Required: High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred: Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
