Food Prep/Delivery Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team in the food service industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to navigate efficiently within the delivery area. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport food products to various locations. Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with scheduled routes. Maintain the integrity of food safety standards during transportation, including proper handling and storage of food items. Fill in on the food line as needed. Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring that all items are secured properly. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and customers regarding delivery details and any potential issues. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns related to deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Qualifications Previous experience in catering, food service, or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to handle kitchen tools safely, including knives for any necessary meal preparation prior to delivery. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Must be able to lift heavy items as needed during loading and unloading processes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
