Food Prep and Delivery Driver

Job Description Tired of working nights and weekends? Apple Spice is now seeking a cheerful, hardworking, individuals for food preparation and delivery driver for our box lunch delivery and catering business. Typical hours are M-F daytime (between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm), 4 to 5 days a week, with nights, weekends and holidays off. General Responsibilities Arrive on time to work Food preparation/production Good sanitary practices (hand washing, sanitizer buckets) Follow all food safety rules when handling production Work with speed and a sense of urgency Help with all other prep associated with the kitchenKnow layout of general area for delivery Be able to lift heavy items Check deliveries for accuracy before leaving the building Make sure that all paperwork for deliveries is correct for payment Deliver lunches in a timely manner and on time Show good customer service skills when interacting with people at deliveries (Smiling, being courteous, saying thank you) Drive safely and obey all traffic laws Have good decision making abilities for when things don’t go according to plan/ Able to “think on their feet” Any other job tasks as directed by the manager Qualifications Required Qualifications: MUST have prior basic food preparation experience. MUST have a clean driving record, driver’s license and current Insurance Have a working vehicle with all paperwork in proper order Have a vehicle to be used for food deliveries such as a hatchback or larger interior vehicle; no sedans or pickup trucks. Texas Food Handler Certified Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills Must have a mobile phone to provide directions for food deliveries Ability to work in a team environment Documentation proving you are legally able to work in the U.S. Desired Qualifications: Prior experience in food delivery Point of Sales (POS) system experience Benefits Work hours, weekdays from 8 am to 2 pm Great tips Competitive pay Salary: Competitive hourly rate plus tips provide $24.00+ of total compensation Company Description Apple Spice Box Lunch Delivery & Catering Company is a fast-growing franchise focusing on boxed lunches and cold/hot catering.
