Food Delivery Truck Driver — Class G License

Our company is looking for a driver to deliver prepared meals from its Production Kitchen to long term care homes and Adult Day Programs in Milton, Ontario. This is a temporary role, up to 3 months, working 12 hours per week.
Pay
- $23.07 to $24.40 an hour
What you'll haul
- Prepared menu items loaded in Cambro carts, kept between zero and four degrees Celsius during transport
Responsibilities
...
- Complete a safety inspection of the truck each day and log the results
- Load and secure Cambro carts for the trip
- Check and record the truck box temperature before and during each delivery, flagging any variations right away
- Drop off meals at long term care facilities and Adult Day Programs, following each site's delivery rules
- Report any damage to the truck or unusual driving conditions
- Keep up with routine truck maintenance, fueling and repairs
- Handle daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid Class G driver's license
- Must complete Fleet Vehicle Driver Program training
- Current Food Handling certificate
- A Vulnerable Sector Check from your local police completed in the last 6 months, or proof you've applied for one
- Clean criminal and vulnerable sector screening, plus a TB test and driver's abstract, all required before your first day
- Comfortable lifting and working in cold conditions
