Duties Follow established routes using mobile devices and GPS tools to ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload food items with proper manual handling techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices and weight handling guidelines. Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities. Interact professionally with customers, providing friendly service and addressing any delivery-related questions or concerns. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including receipt signatures and delivery logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure safety and reliability. Experience Previous delivery driver experience or familiarity with courier services is highly desirable. Experience operating commercial trucks, box trucks, or vans is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to lift heavy items safely, often involving moving large or bulky food packages. Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery updates, and communication.
