Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload food orders using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to maximize speed and accuracy. Deliver food orders promptly to customers’ locations while maintaining the quality and temperature of the food. Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and provide excellent customer service. Follow safe lifting practices during loadings and unloadings, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, route details, and any incidents or delays. Qualifications Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, preferably with warehouse experience or commercial driving background. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is advantageous. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices essential for compliance and safety. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries. Experience with heavy lifting, moving items, or operating commercial trucks enhances your suitability for this role.
