Flower Processor & Stocker

The flower processor/stocker is one the most important jobs in our entire company. The team is responsible for a wide variety of tasks. This a very labor-intensive position. Key Responsibilities: Flower Processing & Inventory Receive, unpack, and process new floral inventory (Tuesdays & Thursdays) Trim flower stems, remove excess foliage, and place them in water with floral preservative Process greenery (freshwater only), label appropriately, and store correctly Follow proper bucket-stem ratios and cooler placement Verify shipments, inspect for damage, and report issues with documentation Label, rotate, and store flowers using FIFO (First In, First Out) method Assist with weekly inventory counts (Mondays and Fridays) and record shortages or overstock Complete and submit daily Throw Away Sheets for discarded products Cooler Maintenance Maintain and clean five designated coolers: Remove debris, wipe down surfaces, mop floors, discard damaged flowers Log discarded items and reorganize stock per labels and color codes Refill water in vases and arrangements as needed. Shop & Design Room Suppor Stock and restock flowers, greenery, and supplies for the design team Trim and prep greenery, label and open boxes for easier access Communicate with designers regarding needs, shortages, or overstocked items Restock floral tools and supplies (vases, foam, etc.) Maintain organization and cleanliness of carts, floors, and work areas Sweep, mop, and take out trash daily (inside and outside areas) Clean and refill flower buckets (8–10 inches water) with floral solution Plant Maintenance Water and dress plants twice weekly (no deadheading) Add soil dressing (e.g., Spanish moss), decorative branches, and bows Label, price, and place plants into decorative containers as needed Wipe down plant leaves and monitor for pests Load plant carts for retail and arrange using FIFO method Communicate with sales team when carts are ready Facility Tasks Work in cold storage daily (coolers) Unload deliveries and transport inventory to storage or coolers Maintain outside areas, clean drains, water rental trees and ferns Sweep and blow exterior areas; bring in outdoor metal racks at designated times Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in walk-in coolers and on your feet for long periods Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, communicative, and willing to take direction Previous floral, warehouse, or retail experience is a plus, but not required There is a 30 day paid evaluated trial period.
