Flooring Warehouse Associate - Seasonal Part-Time

Star Wichita Flooring is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Seasonal Part-Time Warehouse Associate to assist with a warehouse reset project in our flooring warehouse. The timeframe for this role is expected to last 3 to 4 months. This position will play a critical role in reorganizing warehouse inventory, optimizing storage layouts, and improving operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move flooring products and supplies. 
• Assist with the warehouse reset project, including reorganizing racks, relocating inventory, and implementing new storage layouts. 
• Load, unload, and transport flooring materials such as carpet, hardwood, tile, laminate, and accessories. 
• Ensure all inventory is placed in designated locations and properly labeled. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. 
• Work closely with warehouse management to complete project milestones on schedule. 
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned. 

  Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified.) 
• Prior warehouse experience or equivalent work environment preferred, especially in flooring, building materials, or construction-related industries. 
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials, frequently up to 75 pounds. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.      
• Ability to work independently and efficiently. 
• Reliable attendance and punctuality. 
• Ability to work flexible hours

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. 
• Ability to safely handle heavy and bulky flooring materials. 
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
