Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and skilled Flooring Warehouse Associate to join our operations team. While this role encompasses general warehouse duties, the primary focus is operating a Forklift to accurately select and compile customer orders. You will work closely with the Tile Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient flow of materials, the safe delivery of products, and the continuous improvement of our warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation & Order Fulfillment Core Function: Operate a Forklift to accurately pick and stage customer orders. Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks promptly and safely. Wrap and band pallets securely for safe delivery. Operate forklifts and reach machines to move materials as needed. Inventory & Material Handling Participate in the container receipt process, including physical unloading and system data entry. Organize and store materials in their designated warehouse locations. Work with teammates to manually move large, heavy, or awkward boxes and tile pieces. Assist with customer pickups, ensuring materials are loaded safely into residential vehicles. Safety & Teamwork Communicate any material damage or inventory discrepancies immediately to the Warehouse Manager. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times. Collaborate with the operations team on projects to improve warehouse efficiency. Experience & Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements: Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift and move heavy boxes ( 50–75 lbs ) regularly—this is a physical role involving tile and flooring materials. Equipment Experience: Required: 2+ years of specific Forklift experience. Required: 1+ years of experience operating forklifts and reach machines. Preferred: Turret Truck experience. Schedule: Availability to work Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime and Saturdays as business needs dictate. Reliability: Reliable transportation to and from the Ocala warehouse. Skills & Competencies Attention to Detail: Accuracy in picking orders is essential. Communication: Ability to speak clearly and listen effectively. Adaptability: Willingness to solve problems and adjust to changing workflow. Teamwork: A collaborative attitude and commitment to supporting coworkers.
