ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floating Staff Pharmacist to join our PrimaryPlus team at our Ashland, KY, South Shore, KY, and Grayson, KY pharmacies. In this role, you will provide expert pharmaceutical care across multiple healthcare settings, ensuring seamless medication management and patient safety. Your approach will help maintain high standards of pharmacy operations, patient service, and clinical excellence while supporting various departments and facilities as needed. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services across different PrimaryPlus locations. Assess patient needs through detailed medication reviews, patient assessments, and clinical evaluations. Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock replenishment, drug regulation compliance, and medication storage standards. Provide immunizations and medication administration guidance in accordance with healthcare protocols. Utilize pharmacy software and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) to document patient interactions accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Collaborate with healthcare teams on medical management plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA regulations. Support pharmacy technicians in daily operations, fostering a team environment focused on excellent patient care and customer service. Qualifications Valid license to practice as a pharmacist with current state registration. Prior experience in diverse settings such as community pharmacy, hospital environments, or LTC pharmacies is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles. Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, EHR (Electronic Health Records), and pharmacy software platforms. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service and education. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS), HIPAA compliance, USP standards for compounding, and healthcare compliance regulations. Experience managing pharmacy teams or supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus. Familiarity with drug regulation policies, inventory management strategies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance is essential.
