Position Overview The Fleet Maintenance Trailer Technician, A Level, is responsible for performing core fleet maintenance primarily on Trailer chassis assets, with exposure to other fleet equipment. Key duties include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, and supporting shop projects to maximize asset uptime and productivity, all while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct preventative maintenance by inspecting assets and performing small repairs in accordance with internal and OEM specifications. Assist and support other technicians to develop skills, participate in training, and achieve technical certifications. Support shop projects, complete detailed work orders, and ensure thorough documentation of repairs. Travel as required for job tasks. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma required. 5-7 years of mechanical experience, with knowledge of internal combustion engines and heavy-duty equipment preferred. Proficiency in troubleshooting lift-gates and performing preventive maintenance. ASE certifications and understanding of vehicle maintenance systems, D.O.T. regulations, and safety standards. Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing, and working in various warehouse environments. High attention to detail, pride in quality repairs, and strong work ethic.
