About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Fleet Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily health, safety, and readiness of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will be the frontline defender of fleet safety—performing daily vehicle inspections, taking care of immediate minor repairs and maintenance, and coordinating external vendor repairs to ensure maximum vehicle uptime. If you enjoy working hands-on with vehicles, taking ownership of fleet operations, and maintaining high safety standards, we’d love to speak with you! Key Responsibilities Daily Fleet Inspections: Conduct thorough daily pre/post-trip style inspections across all fleet vehicles to identify minor damage, lighting issues, fluid levels, and tire conditions. Minor Repairs & Routine Maintenance: Perform quick-turnaround fixes such as replacing light bulbs, wiper blades, fuses, topping off fluids (oil, coolant, washer fluid), adjusting tire pressure, and minor cosmetic fixes. Vendor & Repair Scheduling: Identify issues requiring certified mechanical attention and schedule outside repairs or warranty work with local shops and vendors to keep downtime to a minimum. Fleet Records & Grounding Management: Document all completed inspections, routine services, and active maintenance tickets. Keep vehicle grounding reports updated to ensure non-compliant vehicles are temporarily pulled off the road. Vehicle Cleanliness & Safety Readiness: Ensure vehicles are sanitized, clean, and equipped with required safety gear (fire extinguishers, emergency kits, triangles, etc.) before hitting the road. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 1+ years of basic automotive/fleet maintenance, light mechanical repair, or detail-oriented vehicle inspection experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record and valid driver’s license. Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic hand tools, automotive lighting systems, fluid checks, and basic vehicle diagnostics. Organization & Tech-Savvy: Ability to manage simple maintenance logs, smartphone/tablet apps, or digital fleet tracking tools. Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, kneel, reach, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors/in garage environments in varied weather conditions. Mindset: Strong eye for detail, proactive problem solver, and committed to driver safety. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Location: In person
