Role Description The Fleet Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations and ensuring vehicles are available, safe, and presented to company standards. This role includes scheduling and coordinating vehicle usage, monitoring driver assignments, and optimizing routes to support timely, high-quality service. The Fleet Supervisor tracks vehicle performance, ensures preventive and corrective maintenance is completed, manages vendor relationships, and maintains accurate records for inspections and repairs. Day-to-day duties also involve supervising fleet staff, enforcing company policies, supporting safety and compliance initiatives, and collaborating with operations and dispatch teams to meet customer expectations. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills with experience leading teams, providing guidance, and managing performance. Knowledge of fleet operations and fleet management, including scheduling, dispatching, and utilization of vehicles. Effective communication skills for coordinating with drivers, operations staff, vendors, and clients. Understanding of vehicle maintenance practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Experience in transportation, logistics, or ground travel services is highly beneficial. Ability to analyze operational data, identify issues, and implement process improvements. Proficiency with fleet management or dispatch software and basic office productivity tools. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, transportation management, or a related field is a plus. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed to support operations.
