Waste RecruitersA growing regional waste and recycling company in the Atlanta area is seeking a hands-on Lead Fleet Technician / Fleet Supervisor to help oversee maintenance operations across three local facilities. This is a working leadership position for someone who can supervise and develop technicians while still being comfortable turning a wrench and jumping in on repairs when needed. The role will float between the company’s three Atlanta-area locations, helping prioritize repairs, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, manage preventive maintenance schedules, minimize equipment downtime, and ensure fleet readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong experience maintaining heavy-duty diesel equipment, preferably refuse trucks, roll-off trucks, front-loaders, rear-loaders, or similar vocational equipment, along with previous lead technician, shop foreman, or fleet supervisory experience. Responsibilities will include mentoring technicians, coordinating workload between locations, assisting with diagnostics and repairs, monitoring parts and maintenance needs, maintaining accurate service records, and promoting a strong safety culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced diesel technician who has developed into a leader but still enjoys being actively involved in the shop and working alongside their team.
