Palmetto Yacht Management is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re seeking an experienced Fleet Service Manager to lead the development and expansion of our fleet maintenance operations. With more than 50 assets currently in operation and a growth trajectory taking us beyond 100, we’re looking for someone who understands that a successful maintenance department is built on strong people, disciplined processes, technology, and accountability. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of an evolving department, build your own team, and establish the systems and standards that will support our organization for years to come. Key Areas of Responsibility * Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team while establishing a culture of ownership and accountability. * Fleet Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fleet readiness for heavy-duty trucks, specialized yacht transportation trailers, and support vehicles. * Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement scalable SOPs, maintenance protocols, and consistent operating standards. * Operational Excellence: Introduce and maintain 5S principles to improve shop organization, efficiency, safety, and productivity. * Technology & Fleet Management: Maximize the capabilities of Fleetio and integrated fleet technologies to improve asset management, maintenance scheduling, reporting, and operational visibility. * Continuous Improvement: Establish measurable KPIs, identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and optimize maintenance costs. * Strategic Growth: Develop the people, infrastructure, and processes necessary to support a fleet expanding beyond 100 assets. The Ideal Candidate We’re seeking an experienced fleet maintenance professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty diesel equipment, and a proven ability to implement systems and drive organizational improvement. Experience with Fleetio, structured maintenance programs, process improvement methodologies, and multi-location fleet operations is highly desirable. Why Palmetto Yacht Management?
