Fleet & Safety Coordinator

The Fleet & Safety Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and coordinates the readiness, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of Apex Moving + Storage’s fleet and equipment. This hands-on position also coordinates company-wide workplace safety initiatives, supports move scheduling and operational execution, and ensures accurate driver, crew, and job documentation. Primary Responsibilities · Coordinate fleet maintenance, preventive service schedules, inspections, repairs, registrations, and vehicle readiness; coordinate work with outside vendors. · Maintain fleet and driver records, including required documentation, expiration dates, and compliance tracking systems. · Support and coordinate applicable DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements, including driver qualification and vehicle inspection records. · Support company-wide safety efforts, including applicable OSHA requirements, employee safety training, incident reporting, and accident investigations, with support from operational leadership and other departments. · Document and escalate fleet and workplace safety risks, coordinate corrective actions with management, and follow up on completion. · Create, schedule, and coordinate local and commercial relocations, decommissions, and logistics moves in collaboration with Operations. · Review driver and crew paperwork for completeness and accuracy to support job records and timely, accurate billing. · Work with internal teams to resolve missing documentation, discrepancies, and billing-related questions. · Support daily operational needs, customer and vendor communications, phone coverage, and other office duties as needed.
