What You'll Be Doing Make Quality a Priority: Monitor vehicle loading and unloading operations to ensure safe handling, proper securement, and damage prevention. Work Directly With Drivers: Build positive relationships with professional transportation operators while providing guidance on quality and safety expectations. Keep Operations Compliant: Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure transportation activities follow customer requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulations. Identify Problems Before They Happen: Recognize potential quality or safety concerns and work with drivers and operations teams to correct them. Support Safe Transportation: Review loading practices, equipment conditions, and pre-trip inspection procedures. Document Your Findings: Complete inspection reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate results to management. Help Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce vehicle damage, and strengthen overall quality standards. Collaborate With the Team: Work closely with drivers, operations personnel, customers, and leadership to resolve issues and maintain service expectations. What We're Looking For We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys being hands-on, communicating with others, and taking ownership of their work. Ideal qualifications include: At least one year of experience in transportation, trucking, fleet operations, quality control, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations is highly desirable. Experience with vehicle inspections, transportation safety, cargo securement, or loading and unloading operations is a plus. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment. Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills. College degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Willingness to travel occasionally to customer or operational sites. Candidates with backgrounds as a Fleet Safety Coordinator, Transportation Quality Inspector, DOT Compliance Coordinator, Logistics Quality Specialist, Vehicle Inspector, or Trucking Operations Coordinator are encouraged to apply!
