Duties Operate your own tractor-trailer truck, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport freight such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary Drive on designated routes while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws Manage delivery schedules efficiently to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across multiple locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues during transit Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial transportation and route driving Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types including refrigerated units and flatbeds Familiarity with freight handling procedures such as load & unload operations Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts when required for cargo handling Knowledge of safety protocols related to tanker loads, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Strong understanding of regulations governing commercial driving and vehicle maintenance standards Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries Embark on a rewarding journey where your expertise fuels success!
