Your Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure fleet vehicles meet appearance standards set by UniFirst.
• Maintain compliance with safety and vehicle regulations.
• Implement and schedule regular preventive maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
• Lead and inspire your team of Fleet Technicians, providing mentorship and performance management.
• Promote continuous learning and development opportunities for all Team Partners.
• Create reports on work performance and departmental budget management.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to secure cost-effective vehicle parts.
• Assist with plowing and salting the parking lot as needed.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System effectively.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by leadership as necessary.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is essential.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record are mandatory; a CDL license is preferred.
• Must comply with DOT regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills are needed, with experience in training technicians.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and fleet management systems is required.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• The ability to lift up to 80 lbs is essential.
Salary: The estimated yearly salary for this position ranges from $48,954.93 to $67,992.95, with actual compensation based on factors like skills, experience, and qualifications. Geographic differentials may apply depending on location. Recruitment for this role is ongoing until the position is filled.
