Fleet Operations & Safety Assistant

Fleet Operations & Safety Assistant Position Summary The Fleet Operations & Safety Assistant supports daily dispatch and fleet operations with a strong focus on truck maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance in accordance with Federal and State regulations. This role helps keep drivers, equipment and paperwork running smoothly by coordinating maintenance, monitoring compliance, and assisting with driver communication and safety requirements. Responsibilities Monitor and review ELD logs and ensure compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations Review and address log violations and driver safety events Investigate and manage accidents and safety incidents Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQ Files) and compliance documentation Conduct driver safety orientation and ELD training for new drivers Assist with driver recruiting and onboarding Requirements Experience in trucking safety, compliance, or fleet safety management Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service Experience using ELD systems Experience handling driver accident and safety investigations Strong organization and communication skills Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Health insurance Ability to Relocate: Liberty, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
