Fleet Manager Comer & Cross Concrete Coatings Troy, MI | On-Site | Full-Time $80,000–$95,000 annually, based on experience Comer & Cross Concrete Coatings is looking for a hands-on Fleet Manager to take ownership of the trucks, trailers, and equipment that keep our crews moving every day. Our installation teams depend on reliable vehicles and equipment to stay on schedule and job-site ready. In this role, you'll oversee fleet maintenance, repairs, safety, compliance, equipment availability, and vendor relationships while helping control downtime and operating costs. What You'll Do Manage preventive maintenance schedules for service trucks, box trucks, trailers, and towed equipment Oversee maintenance and repair of sprayers, shot blasters, grinders, vacuums, mixers, generators, and other coating equipment Coordinate repairs with in-house technicians, mechanics, dealerships, and outside vendors Track vehicle registrations, inspections, insurance, and DOT compliance Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service histories, and equipment condition records Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and equipment hours to identify issues before they become breakdowns Manage relationships with parts suppliers, repair shops, and equipment dealers Build and manage the fleet maintenance budget and make repair-versus-replace recommendations Conduct or coordinate routine safety inspections Coordinate fleet and equipment availability across crews and job sites Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment accessories Train drivers and crew leads on equipment care, pre-use inspections, and issue reporting Respond to field breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs or replacement equipment to keep crews moving What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in fleet management, maintenance management, equipment management, or a related field Working knowledge of light- and medium-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial or construction equipment Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance requirements Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining detailed service and maintenance records Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate service costs Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work on-site in Troy, Michigan Preferred Experience Fleet management software Construction, concrete coatings, flooring, or skilled-trades environments Spray, blasting, grinding, or other surface-preparation equipment What Comer & Cross Offers A hands-on role with real ownership over fleet operations The opportunity to directly impact equipment uptime and field operations A growing, reputation-driven company with a strong local presence Competitive compensation based on experience If you have experience keeping vehicles and equipment safe, compliant, and operational—and enjoy being the person people count on to keep things moving—we'd like to hear from you.
