The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Fleet Operations Manager to lead our team of drivers and logistics personnel. In this role, you will be the primary leader for routing, scheduling, compliance, and team development. What You'll Do
• Lead and oversee a team of drivers, assistants, and ramp loaders to ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of catering products to aircraft.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily transportation activities, assigning routes and tasks to optimize efficiency in accordance with flight schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and airport authority regulations, promoting a robust culture of safety and accountability.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and end-of-shift reviews to align teams, communicate updates, and address any challenges.
• Monitor labor hours, fleet utilization, and equipment usage to manage costs and meet productivity targets.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance and reduce delays or waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including culinary, warehouse, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
What We're Looking For in a Candidate
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or ground operations, with demonstrated team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and aviation-related regulations.
• Proven skills in leadership and team development, with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and lead effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or fleet management systems (e.g., TMS, dispatch software).
