Fleet Operations Manager

Job Overview We currently operate approximately 4–6 company-controlled commercial trucks and are seeking a proven operations professional to improve efficiency, maintain profitability, supervise personnel, and support responsible fleet expansion. Responsibilities : Manage daily trucking and fleet operations. Oversee dispatch performance, driver coordination, and load execution. Monitor truck-level revenue, operating expenses, and profitability. Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment utilization. Maintain DOT/FMCSA operational compliance and safety standards. Implement efficient operating procedures and reporting systems. Support recruiting, training, and supervision of drivers. Work directly with ownership on performance goals and fleet growth. Qualifications: At least 3–5 years of relevant trucking operations experience preferred. Experience managing multiple commercial vehicles and drivers. Working knowledge of freight dispatch, trucking economics, and carrier compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience managing a small or midsize trucking fleet preferred. Ability to work independently and be accountable for measurable results.
