Fleet Mechanic

Position: Fleet Mechanic Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25-$35/hour FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Description: Bath Landscape is seeking applicants with experience in diesel and small engine mechanics—specifically those familiar with landscape equipment and vehicles. Bath Inc. is a local, family-owned business founded over 50 years ago. Our landscape division operates year-round and is set for a record-breaking season. We’re looking for a skilled mechanic who can keep our diesel-powered landscape equipment, small engines, and vehicle fleet operating safely and efficiently. Job Qualifications: Education & Experience Diesel mechanic experience—preferably with landscape equipment (tractors, mowers, loaders, etc.) Welding experience is a plus Fleet maintenance experience preferred DOT training is a plus Must have your own primary tools Strong ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Must be able to repair and maintain diesel-powered landscape equipment and fleet vehicles Ability to diagnose, service, and repair small engines and hydraulics Must demonstrate professional communication skills Must maintain a pleasant and courteous attitude Willingness to learn and grow with the team Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Must be able to take direction from and report to superintendents and project managers Strong attendance, punctuality, dependability, and time management Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees become benefit eligible the month following the first month they work 130+ hours, and then they must maintain 130+ hours each subsequent month to maintain eligibility. Bath employees who have 6 months of service and completed 1,000 hours are eligible to sign up for our 401K.
