Fleet Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Perform oil changes, tire rotations, tire repairs, replacement of lights and related parts required * Change fluids and filters; performs routine adjustments necessary to maintain safety, operational performance, and * Keep fleet compliant with all DOT and company rules and regulations * Maintain, inspect, and service vehicle to ensure good working order * Remove and replace defective and worn parts as necessary; disassemble, clean, and replace re-usable parts. * Inspect quality of work performed to ensure customer satisfaction. * Perform preventive maintenance inspections and effectively repair any problems identified during an inspection. * Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing equipment. * Maintain a clean, safe work area and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. * Must follow all company safety policies and procedures. Skills and Qualifications: * High school diploma/equivalent or combination of education and experience will be considered. * 2+ years of experience performing service repairs * Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment * Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment * Proficient oral and written communication skills * Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly * Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) * Skill in operating tools, equipment, parts, and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of vehicles and equipment * Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Experience: Diesel engine service and repair: 2 years (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
