Fleet Mechanic

Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on trucks, trailers, and other heavy machinery Conduct repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and HVAC components. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems, engines (diesel engines included), powertrain components, and vehicle systems with precision. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed, including service logs, incident reports, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in equipment assembly and perform heavy lifting tasks safely during repairs or installations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with drivers and team members regarding vehicle status and repair timelines. Qualifications Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or automotive technician . Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of machinery tractor-trailers, and heavy trucks. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools for effective repairs. Knowledge of diesel mechanics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, tire service. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship.
