Fleet Mechanic

Full-Time Fleet Mechanic Position Overview Due to continued company growth and demand, we are seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to expand their mechanical skills, take on new challenges, and grow with our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing major and minor repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and inspections on company vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities Perform repairs on a variety of company equipment, including, but not limited to light and heavy duty trucks, chassis, trailers, forklifts and construction equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, and DOT inspections on company trucks and chassis. Perform minor repairs on trucks and chassis, including lights, tires, brakes, mudflaps, check fluids, etc. Major repairs may include but not limited to, Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, steering and suspensions, welding/fabricating. Identify maintenance needs and coordinate equipment servicing and repairs as necessary. Provide roadside assistance and perform on-site repairs on fleet equipment as needed. Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe and reliable operating condition. What we’re looking for 2+ years of related heavy duty diesel repair or automotive experience preferred. Must provide and maintain their own set of mechanic's tools. Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn and develop new skills. Physically capable of performing all job duties, such as being able to lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended periods. Preferred but not required: CDL Class A or B. Medical card. TWIC card. Experience in welding and using oxygen/acetylene torches.
