Fleet Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of fleet vehicles and construction equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and the ability to interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostic tools Troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains Perform inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards Communicate with supervisors and equipment operators to identify issues and reduce downtime Maintain accurate records of work completed Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with fleet vehicles and/or heavy equipment Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals Experience working with air brake systems and performing alignments is a plus Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Valid driver’s license required; additional certifications related to automative repair is a plus.
