Fleet & Equipment Mechanic Branson Road Works · Durango, CO Full-time · $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Applications accepted through October 31, 2026 About Branson Road Works Branson Road Works is a specialty subcontractor based in Durango, Colorado, with about 30 years in business. We provide traffic control, pavement marking, and highway sign manufacturing and installation for CDOT projects, general contractors, municipalities, and private property owners across Colorado and the Four Corners. We're privately owned, we take pride in caring for our people, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard of professionalism than the industry norm. Our equipment keeps every project moving. We're growing, and we're looking for a skilled mechanic who takes pride in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready to roll. The Position Reporting directly to our Equipment Manager, you'll maintain and repair our entire fleet, including: Striping trucks and specialty pavement marking equipment Class 8 trucks and pickups Truck-mounted attenuator (TMA) trucks Trailers, loaders, and other construction and traffic control equipment Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services following our established PM procedures and forms Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems Test and verify every repair before a unit is released back to the field Document all work so every unit has a complete, accurate repair and PM history Help keep all units in compliance with DOT and state requirements Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Travel for out-of-town field repairs as needed (occasional, not weekly) Qualifications Required: At least 1 year of hands-on experience repairing gasoline engines, diesel engines, or both Working knowledge of hydraulic systems A valid driver's license Strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic A willingness to learn. We'll train you on our specialty equipment. Your own hand tools Preferred: Class A CDL. CDL holders are paid a higher hourly rate. Professional references. We do check them. Pay & Benefits $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience. Class A CDL holders are paid a higher hourly rate within this range.
