Fraley & Schilling, Inc.Position Summary The purpose of this position is to coordinate the activities of company employees and guide quality, efficiency, and productivity improvement efforts. The primary goal is to plan, direct, and control operational functions and supervising. Roles & Responsibilities Plan, direct, and control operational functions of team members assigned to his/her team Manage fleet productivity by tracking critical performance indicators (including, but not limited to: revenue, pay, attendance, maintenance, etc) Recommend and implement appropriate plans for improvement (corrective action) Assist drivers with day-to-day personal, financial, productivity, training, and service needs, reviewing and reconciling related reports Manage the transportation software (TMW) used by F&S to track, account, manage the driver force. Resolve and minimize problems related to driver retention and assists with and/or handles counseling, training, communication, and discipline as needed. Create and maintain strong driver/operational relationships and active in conflict management/resolution on an ongoing basis Seek to improve departmental quality, efficiency, and productivity standards Assist in creating and/or revising job descriptions, pay scales and company process Assist in creating and/or revising SOP Participate in Operations Focus Groups, staff meetings, driver reviews, driver conferences, driver appreciation functions, etc Supervise and coordinate activities of his/her driver team Monitor employee performance, prepares and conducts employee performance appraisals Assigns schedule, and review work, ensuring that all areas are adequately covered Establish goals and work standards Administer company policies and procedures Skills & Qualifications Active Listening – Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments, questions and suggestions of others.
