Fleet Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and management of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will coordinate transportation activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and optimize fleet performance through strategic planning and effective communication. Your leadership will drive the success of our logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle availability, on-site shop maintenance, and scheduling to meet delivery deadlines. Utilize company transportation management software to monitor fleet performance and coordinate logistics activities. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and internal safety policies across all transportation activities. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and track fleet health using Fleet Management software. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, internal communication platforms, and phone call management tools. Maintain accurate data entry records related to vehicle records, vehicle maintenance, medical equipment inventory, and related vehicle or driver needs in company software Analyze fleet operations to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in road transportation operations and supply chain processes. Supervise vehicle access procedures, including interdepartmental coordination, shift planning, and compliance with road transportation regulations. Oversee 1-3 assistants who will specialize in vehicle cleaning, interior detailing, and medical equipment inventory Ensure adherence to safety standards by monitoring driver performance and conducting regular internal communication on best practices. Skills Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools to help keep drivers and vehicles in service and good condition Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle maintenance best practices is preferred Experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms is a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for phone etiquette, internal communication, driver interactions, and dispatching coordination. Data entry accuracy combined with analysis skills to interpret operational metrics for continuous improvement. Ability to operate vehicle dispatch software and fleet management tools confidently. Computer skills for use of company software, email, and messaging Comfort with smartphone applications to assist drivers with daily tasks Join us as a Fleet Manager to lead our transportation efforts with energy and precision!
