Fleet Manager

• Oversee fleet assets ensuring that all vehicles are maintained at peak operating performance, are clean internally and externally and are well maintained,
• Train new drivers on proper procedures, policies and technologies.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to review invoices and work orders to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
• Responsible for route management for meal deliveries and ensure driver compliance
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Responsible for staff scheduling and compliance with attendance policies and procedures.
• Establish one-on-one relationships with drivers to sustain and uphold Meals America team-oriented culture and performance expectations
• Responsible for Driver scheduling, time management and attendance
• Communicate with drivers electronically and via telephone to verify scheduling pick-up and delivery issues and to provide updates as needed.
• Work closely with dispatch team to ensure delivery standards are met for our participants and to streamline processes.
• Issues delivery instructions and provides routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
• Ensure company policies governing appropriate use of vehicles are met by all drivers.
• Participates in the hiring process for driver personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• 3-5 years of fleet or logistics leadership experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to use technology such as cell phone, GPS tracking and other related equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and general computer knowledge
• Must be able to remain calm and composed when dealing with staff and leadership.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with related software technologies and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
